<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><meta charset="utf-8">WPRW01 は植物を育てる実験などで使われる植物育成用の LED 照明です．通常の LED 照明とは異なり植物の育成に適した光が出るため，この分野では有名な実験機器のようです．</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">実際に LED の粒を見てみると，白色 LED の間に赤色 LED が入っていることを確認できます．複数の光源を組み合わせて植物に適した光を作っているのですね．</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><span id="toc2">症状</span></h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">今回，大学の先輩から LED 照明が点滅するから診て欲しいと<meta charset="utf-8"> <meta charset="utf-8">WPRW01 の修理を依頼されました．渡された実機の電源を入れてみると，一定の間隔で点いたり消えたりする様子が確認できました．</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">この症状は一個体だけのものではなく，数年使った複数の個体で出ているそうです．購入元に修理を依頼したところ，修理不可と言われたそうです．</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><span id="toc3">原因究明</span></h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">ここからは点滅の原因究明の過程について記していきます．点滅する照明の LED に不良箇所などは見られなかったので，内部の電源基板の故障だと判断しました．電源基板にアクセスするため筐体を開けます．LED 照明の両端に 2 つずつあるシリコンが詰まった穴をほじくり，ネジを露出させました．このネジは LED のヒートシンクに繋がっており，蓋を介して LED ユニットと筐体を接続しています．照明の両端のネジを外し，蓋を開けて<meta charset="utf-8"> LED ユニットごと電源基板を引き出しました．</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">電源基板のヒューズは切れておらず，はんだクラックもなし．ケーブルの断線や IC が焼けたような痕もありませんでした．一定の周期で点滅することも併せると，コンデンサの不良が考えられます．しかし，破裂やふくらみといった外見でわかる故障はなかったので，基板から取り外して静電容量を測ってみました．その時ははんだ吸い取り線を持ち合わせていなかったので仕方なく足を切ることにしました．結果は次の通り．</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">10μF のコンデンサが表記からだいぶ外れた値を示しました．かなり怪しいのでこのコンデンサを交換してみることにしました．</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">交換するコンデンサは，元と同じ <meta charset="utf-8">10μF 50V のものを秋月電子で買いました．長時間使用する製品なのでニチコン製の耐久性が優れているものを選びました．</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">元々ついていた華虹半導体製のコンデンサを外し，<meta charset="utf-8">ニチコン製のものに付け替えました．静電容量を測るために足が切られて短くなってしまったコンデンサは寝かせて付けることができなくなってしまいました．そこで，寝かせずに斜めにして付けて，電源基板を筐体の外に固定するようにしました．見栄えが悪くなってしまいましたが，これも修理のための致し方ない犠牲です．</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">電源を入れてみたところ，点滅せずに光るようになりました．やはり<meta charset="utf-8"> <meta charset="utf-8">10μF 50V のコンデンサが悪くなっていたようです．</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">総合して見て，今回の LED 照明の故障の原因はコンデンサの寿命だと考えます．<meta charset="utf-8">WPRW01 の構造上，電源回路が熱を持ちやすいので，今回の交換によって大幅に耐久時間が伸びることはないと思われます．</p>
